There are a few other towns around Cala Millor, all of which have many tourist hotels:
Cala Bona has completely grown together with Cala Millor, the transition between the towns is no longer recognizable. In contrast to Cala Millor, the town has an old town centre with a beautiful harbour. Cala Bona is significantly smaller than Cala Millor. Cala Bona is also one of the typical package holiday resorts on Mallorca.
Sa Coma: This town has now grown together with Cala Millor in the other direction. Perhaps the ugliest place on Mallorca – pure mass tourism including high-rise hotels, many of which could serve as perfect examples of architectural sins. More English guests. Inexpensive. Beaches are OK.
S’Illot: The next town towards Porto Cristo. Much nicer than the neighboring town of Sa Coma, unfortunately S’Illot does not have a particularly nice beach.
Bus connections: In Cala Millor there are several stops on the wide road that runs parallel to the beach about 100 meters away. Buses run between the places described above at least every hour during the season – in winter there are significantly fewer. There are also, of course, buses to and from Palma de Mallorca.
